The Regimental Museum in Brecon has a very limited number of paid staff, consisting of a Curator (full time), Museum Assistant (full time job share), an Education Officer (part time) plus a little paid help for such things as staffing at weekends in the summer months. All the other activities at the Museum depend on a small group of volunteers without whom it would not be possible for the Museum to function the way it does.

Volunteer roles can consist of front of house role, dealing with research enquiries, transcription of documents, scanning of photographs and cataloguing the collection. There are nearly always new exciting projects waiting to be undertaken, and inevitably as the years pass some of our volunteers feel they can no longer help us. Whatever your skills and interests we would be pleased to hear from you if you can give us some time on a regular basis.

Your Museum needs you: contact us to arrange an appointment if you think you would like to volunteer at the Museum. Full training will be provided whatever the role.
