The Kleine Granatenwerfer also known as little priest was designed by the Hungarian priest Father Vecer and was first used by the Austro-Hungarian army in 1915. It was an infantry mortar used by the central powers during the First World War then in 1916 Germany had started to produce a modified version under licence for the imperial German army.
