Geoffery W Jones enlisted into the 1st (Rifle) Battalion the Monmouthshire Regiment TA in January 1922. During the Second World War, he was seconded to the Royal Netherland Army where he worked closely with Prince Bernhard. For his services, he was made Commander of the Order of Orange Nassau and later served with the Royal Air Force in Palestine and finally commanded the Aden Protectorate Levies. Colonel Jones died in January 1988 in Sunbury, Suffolk.
