The Goodwill Zulu Festival: Celebrating the Welsh and KwaZulu Natal Shared Heritage
We are pleased to announce that the Goodwill Collaboration are hosting a Goodwill Zulu Festival July 2024!
Join us July 18-20th 2024 to mark 145 years since the Anglo-Zulu War and 60 years since the release of the loved film, Zulu.

THURSDAY JULY 18 – ZULU ROYAL CHORALE PERFORMS IN SONG, DANCE AND PRAISES THE LIFE AND TIMES OF HIS MAJESTY KING ZWELITHINI
This time the three-day Festival will be commemorating the 50-year reign of the Zulu Monarch, King Goodwill Zwelithini who died in 2021. The theatrical performance will be an extravaganza of music, dance, and Zulu athleticism.
On Thursday the 18th July, The Zulu Royal Chorale will present the life and times of KING ZWELITHINI kaBHEKIZULU, performed by 30 voices made up of Royal Family Princes and Princesses, Zulu Maidens and Zulu Regiments and attended by Queen Nompumelelo Zulu.
This performance promises to be a truly great musical and will showcase the special relationship between the people of Brecknock and the Zulu people.

FRIDAY JULY 19 – THE ZULU WELSH: A SYMPHONY OF VOICES
As part of both Brecon Choir Festival and The Goodwill Zulu Collaboration the legendary Zulu Royal Chorale are joining forces with local favourites Aberhonddu and District Male Voice Choir.
Hear a spectacular 30 voice ensemble formed of Zulu Royal Family Princes and Princesses, Zulu Maidens and Zulu Regiments combined with top class Welsh male voice in an extraordinary sharing of culture and song.
The Zulu Royal Chorale are visiting Brecon as part of the Goodwill Collaboration with the visit commemorating King Zwelithini’s 50 year reign of the Zulu Monarchy.

SATURDAY JULY 20 – HERITAGE AND SPORTS DAY
