Clash of Empires – An exciting event is launching July 2023 in London’s Spear Museum of Philatelic History at the Royal Philatelic Society.
The Anglo-Zulu War is a famous point in our military history and one of the many reasons why people travel to both our museum and to South Africa to walk the battle fields. Now, a limited timed exhibition is taking place in London which is sure to be a wonderful opportunity for enthusiasts.
The ‘Clash of Empires’ exhibition showcases more than 500 postal, historical, and cultural objects exploring the context, history, and ongoing legacy. The depth and scope of this context philately exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to see the intertwined stories of this important history told through hundreds of artefacts.
The exhibition is also supported by a variety of events during the month. The first is the symposium taking place July 12-15th with over 30 speakers across the three days. At the end of the month, the Royal Welsh Museum has been invited to have a day dedicated to the museum. Follow our website and social media for updates!
